While at a carnival, a boy drops a quarter in an arcade game and wishes he were "big". The next morning, the boy wakes to find himself a full grown man. While he and his best friend try to track down the arcade machine in hopes of reversing the wish, the new man takes up residence in New York City and promptly secures an executive position with a toy company. Along the way he learns about life, love and office politics.

This is a truly charming film that the whole family will enjoy. The toy store scene with the giant piano is now a classic. A funny and interesting film that got people to start taking Tom Hanks seriously as an actor.
