A
morally corrupt kiddy show host (Williams)
plots the demise of his television
replacement (Norton).
A
black comedy that is largely uneven
but occasionally hilarious. Death
to Smoochy received extremely mixed
reviews by critics and audiences.
It is a difficult film to put your
finger on; it is both clever and
silly, somewhat boring and rather
interesting all at the same time.
In this regard it is unlike any film
I've ever seen.
Truly
a must see for fans of Robin Williams
and Ed Norton, both actors have interesting
roles and perform well. DeVito's
direction is a highlight, as is the
colorful photography.
Directed
by Danny DeVito.
