This
kicker of a comedy directed by Doug
Liman (Swingers) takes you through
a night in the lives of some young
people. Some of which are friends and
some of which are forced together through
incredible circumstances. Including
the attempt to attend a rave, an incredible
trip to Las Vegas and a drug sting
gone completely wrong.
Go tries very hard to be like Pulp
Fiction for the younger set. And it comes pretty
close. The subject matter of raves
and cheap sex do keep it a level below
the Tarantino classic, however. It
starts off pretty poorly with a beginning
that doesn't generate much interest.
But it quickly takes off from there
tossing around one-liners, pop culture
references and just plain funny, unexpected
stuff. Predictable it is not. Go is
funny and somewhat clever. Any fan
of sharp, dark comedy ought to love
this film.
