First made famous in the Archie Comics series, Josie and the girls make it to the big screen. A national plot to include subliminal messages in rock music puts Josie's new found fame in jeopardy.
A pretty well developed plot in what could've been an ultra simplistic teenie bopper flick. Although the two mastermind criminals in this film are characters almost directly lifted from the criminals in Hudson Hawk, they prove to be pretty entertaining. As do the Pussycats themselves, Reid pulls off the stupid blonde bit pretty well, saying, "If I could go back in time, I'd meet Snoopy." Dawson is a nice fit as the skeptical bass player. And Rachael Leigh Cook is smart and sexy as Josie.
There are more than a couple laugh out gags and one-liners and just look at the picture on this page...what's not to like?
