Movie Review
                Monsters, Inc.
of 5

A human girl runs loose in a factory where monsters capture children's screams for use as an energy source.

A wonderfully imaginative premise for a story; there's a nice buddy relationship between Crystal and Goodman's monster characters and the movie is fun. However, it didn't strike me as being all that memorable. Why? I think it was the details, the little things that other films, Pixar films in particular, picked up on. Monsters, Inc, while entertaining enough for most, lacks the nuances of a film like Toy Story. Monsters, Inc isn't devoid of interesting details and background characters but they are fewer and further between than I'd wish. There's less humor for adults in this one, too.

This is not to say that Monsters, Inc is in any way a poor film, it just seems that it could've used just a few more weeks in the development stage is all.

Directed by Peter Docter, David Silverman and Lee Unkrich.
