Writer/Director/Star, Brooks, is a recently divorced writer who's mission of self-discovery begins by moving back in with his feisty mother.
Albert Brooks doesn't make many bad movies, and Mother is right in the mix among his best. Just to see this movie was made and released was refreshing. And Mother doesn't disappoint, with all the self depreciating humor you might expect and a sharp performance from Debbie Reynolds, it makes for a great feature.
