Acclaimed film about a news personality who begins to go insane on the air and the network bigwigs who must deal with him and still try to turn a profit.

"I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!" One of the most famous movie quotes in history has so much meaning in this film, that it's truly scary. A dark comedy the likes of which have never been equaled. The 1970's produced several worthy 'look into the future' films, and this may be the best of them. Although it doesn't take place in the future it makes no bones about what could become of news/entertainment.

Remarkable for its impressive performances and bold social commentary that isn't presented in an uppity way but rather in a stark episodic format. Great pick for those interested in dark comedy combined with a worthy, yet amusing social statement.

Directed by Sidney Lumet.
