An artsy recluse is suddenly pursued by the most popular boy in school after he bets his friends that he can turn any girl into the prom queen.
After you get past the so-so acting, there's a pretty decent little film here. It's a classic plot, with occasionally witty dialogue, and some laugh-out-loud scenes (mostly featuring Kevin Pollack). There's not a whole lot of content you'll remember forever, but what's left isn't at all bad.
Look for a cameo by Sarah Michelle Geller.
Musical score by Stewart Copeland.
