Lifetime friends place a bet that the last one to be married will win. The kitty is now up to nearly $500,000 and one of the participants sorely needs the money to pay off a gambling debt. He comes up with a plan to get the only other still-single guy married by re-introducing him to a lost love.
Pretty darn funny with more than its share of attractive females, Tomcats has revisited the wild comedy. Even the story isn't a total waste here, it does get sidetracked every once in a while, but that is part of the charm of these films. My biggest complaint about the story is that the friendship of the two remaining bettors is largely ignored, it would've been more interesting if this had been better defined.
Tomcats is a (somewhat) romantic comedy that isn't afraid to occasionally show its claws.
Directed by Gregory Poirer.
