A night in the life of a popular Tribeca restaurant that is owned by a former small time bookmaker. The customers are packed in and several may not be what they seem.
First you start with the wonderful ensemble cast that makes up Dinner Rush, take a crime story edge and add a dash of father/son drama, bake for 99 minutes and you have one of the most pleasing dramas of 2001. There is a wonderful cohesion between these elements; but even without the crime drama of it, the film's interesting characters are enough to fill the movie.
There's little chance you saw this in the theater, but fans of talkie mob-like dramas won't want to miss this one.
