A brazen mother muscles her way into a small law office as a clerk and unravels a conspiracy involving harmful chemicals in drinking water that are making people seriously ill. Based on a true story.
Largely to my surprise, I really enjoyed this film. It is clearly Julia Roberts' best work to date. But more than that, I found the film well written, keenly directed and spiritually uplifting.
Albert Finney, too gives a fine performance as he affects an American accent. This is an inspiring story that is well-told and easily one of the year's ten best.
Directed by Steven Soderbergh. |
