A law student (Farrell) lands in a Nazi POW camp and wonders about the motivations of the Ranking American officer (Willis).
The movie starts off well, then gets a little blah, then picks up again. A rather gripping story unfolds in a cumbersome manner but still manages to hold onto a good deal of entertainment value.
There is an interesting plot twist or two to be had. but you've got to wade through quite a bit of prologue to get to it. For me, Hart's War didn't go anywhere near where I expected it to. See this film, but to have the same surprise I did, don't read the box.
Directed by Gregory Hoblit.
