Sentimental
comedy-drama about a year in the life
of a Jewish family in 1950's Baltimore.
A
fine light hearted drama that you'd expect
from Levinson. Although I found this
movie could've ended five or six times
in its final 15 minutes, it doesn't detract
much from the rich characterizations
that lend to the high audience appeal
of this film.
Several
nice performances offset some less than
spectacular writing. And there's more
than a couple scenes that should garnish
a healthy belly laugh as well as those
that poses imaginative irony.
Directed
by Barry Levinson.
