A university is disgusted by the behavior of a medical student who has a special way with patients.

Based on a true story, Patch Adams has enough humor to satisfy the masses. It's dramatic fashion falls a bit flat, however. Still the film goes well recommended because of it's good-natured laughs and touching sentiment.
