An American ex-boxer, who has killed a man in the ring tries to escape his past by moving to his parents' small Irish town. There he falls in love with a pretty neighbor but must get past her bully of a brother first.

John Wayne off the battlefield. A romantic drama with many light, humorous moments. Not the best written film ever, but a nice piece of entertainment and Wayne does turn into the tough guy we've come to love.
