A young woman begins to think a satanic cult may be interfering with her pregnancy.
A classis horror tale that still has a high appeal for those who enjoy a Polanski-esque story. It's not incredibly horrifying, but the psychological element of the story is very strong. Some good performances all around in slowly developing plot where just enough is steadily revealed to pace the film and hold our interest. This is not the case in some of Polanski's misfires, i.e. The Ninth Gate.
Directed by Roman Polanski
Ruth Gordon won an Oscar as Best Supporting Actress.
