An ambitious, young stock trader is taken under the wing of a ruthless business mogul.
A nice assemblage of strong characters and interesting motives. Each character is defined very well, so well in fact that their actions are a little predictable. But this doesn't bother me. Even if you know what the characters are going to do, you're rooting for them to do it. This is rarely the case in films.
Wall Street enjoyed a nice run in the theaters and critical acclaim. A good script and fine direction from Stone coupled with our wonderful characters push this film into an exclusive realm of 1980's cinema.
Directed by Oliver Stone.
