French nuclear testing brings to life an extra-large reptile that is destroying Manhattan. A scientist teams up with his ex-girlfriend to help the military destroy it.

What's with all the rain? It rains the entire length of this film. Is it to cover up effects seams? I don't know - but it's a bit annoying. Direct lifts from Jurassic Park also are disappointing. But, for some reason, I still like this movie. The interactive menus on the DVD are really cool.
