Based on a short story by Philip K. Dick. In 2079, a brilliant weapons specialist is accused of being an android sent by a Earth's longtime enemy.

A rather interesting story and rather tame action scenes combine for a rather decent sci-fi trip. Sinise gives a fine performance here and D'Onofrio is top notch as his pursuer.

Many complained the film didn't capture the interest of the written work it is based on. That may well be true, but I still hate those people who compare movies to books. Both mediums are meant to entertain but that is where their similarities end. It's like comparing a passenger jet to a wheel barrel - they're both meant for transportation - so they should be the same, right?
