An alien race is destroying the world's greatest cities one by one in an eventual effort to destroy life on Earth. A brash air force pilot joins the world wide effort to stop them.

This film runs the gamut from exciting to original to just plain bad. A great concept and Smith's character is great, too. But just about every other character is an insult to the movie going community. They're silly, silly, silly. If you can somehow overcome this flaw, what you have left is a darn good sci-fi adventure film.
